Summary:
A Western Leather Goods craftsman will be engaged in crafting boots, boot components and or all related shipping processes.
Process will typically take place inside of an enclosed structure on the Mercedes campus though some tasks may require intermittent periods of work outside.
Some positions require operating light machinery and following safe operating procedures for the equipment.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:
Position may require sitting or standing for long periods of time up to and including a full shift Position may require repetitive lifting and moving of items up to 20 lbs Position may require wearing PPE such as respirators, masks, eye protection and or aprons Once trained produce quality components meeting an engineered rate of production Work solo or in a team to accomplish assigned tasks by supervisor Follow safe work instructions to complete tasking in a manner that is safe and consistent Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Available to work Monday - Friday from 6 am to 3 pm, occasionally Saturday Ability to lift repeatedly 20-30 pounds Ability to Perform extensive periods of sitting, standing and bending down during shift Ability to understand verbal directions and closely execute with minimal supervision Ability to meet engineered standards for production Flexibility to be moved and utilized in multiple positions during daily operations.
Physical Requirements:
Work requires sitting, standing, and/or walking for periods of five hours or more, moving and examining objects at high and low reach, and reading for periods of three hours or more.
Monday-Friday 6:
00am to 2:
30pm 30 minute lunch break 40 Hours a week Weekends and overtime as needed.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
