General Statement of Duties:
Performs a variety of administrative, secretarial, clerical, and other general office duties in support of the Police Department's performance in all areas of law enforcement and public safety.
Position requires a high level of problem-solving ability, self-initiative, and the ability and willingness to work a majority of the time without direct supervision.
Performs other duties as set forth by the Chief of Police and Assistant Chief of Police.
Office Manager Job
Responsibilities:
Ability to perform responsible, confidential, and complex administrative and office -related duties for the police department management staff.
Ability to provide information, answers, responds to complaints, solve problems or refer both walk-ins and telephone traffic to the appropriate source.
Supports company operations by maintaining an office system and supervising staff.
Maintains office services by organizing office operations and procedures, preparing payroll, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions, and assigning and monitoring clerical functions.
Provides historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.
Maintains office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement.
Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures, measuring results against standards, and making necessary adjustments.
Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.
Maintains office staff job results by planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
